Safety Training for Research Staff
This page outlines MRRC policy for ensuring research staff and study team personnel are adequately trained to conduct research safely in the main, 8th floor scanning facility. MRI scanners are dangerous. All PIs, research coordinators, research assistants, lab managers, graduate students, postdoctoral associates, and any other individual that wants access to zones II and III of the MRRC must read this page and complete the following three safety training procedures to be fully compliant with MRRC policy. Zones II and III are the areas of the MRRC facility not open to the public: participant screening room/technologist office (II), mock scanner (II), changing areas (II), hallways connecting all scanners (II), control rooms (III), and scanner rooms (III). PIs are responsible for ensuring all current and future staff are compliant with MRRC safety training policy. Any individual not in compliance with the MRRC safety training policy will be prohibited from entering zone II and III of the MRRC.
