Hello MRRC users,
I am very happy to announce a new member of the MRRC’s faculty physics team. Dr. Vincent Lee is joining us after graduating from Pitt’s Swanson School of Engineering with a Ph.D. in Bioengineering. Dr. Lee has over 15 years of experience in magnetic resonance imaging research. His research background includes advanced techniques in diffusion imaging (focused on neuroplasticity and traumatic brain injury), functional MRI, phase contrast MRI, and multinuclear imaging. Dr. Lee has extensively applied these MRI techniques in his clinical translational research studies spanning from brain tumors and congenital heart disease to neurodevelopment and neurocognitive outcomes, as well as developing innovative MRI applications in these fields. His primary research interest lies in brain development and heart-brain health, particularly in the intersection of cardiovascular and neurological health. His current focus is on cerebrospinal fluid flow and clearance, the effects of CSF flow/clearance on brain development, and developing new MRI techniques to investigate this critical physiological process.
Please join me in welcoming Vince to the MRRC. Feel free to reach out to Vince (preferred email: vkl2@pitt.edu) if you think his research expertise may apply to your current and future work at the MRRC.
Best,
Andrew
